Financial Literacy

Top Achievers’ no-cost financial literacy program connects students with professionals that help develop knowledge, skills and behaviors needed to manage financial resources effectively. Collin County students in grades 6-12 are eligible to participate in Top Achievers Foundations’ quarterly financial literacy workshops.

Teaching financial capability is important because youth are increasingly facing higher levels of college and credit card debt. Unfortunately, many youth have not received formal guidance on financial matters such as budgeting and comparison shopping, and are not ready to make sound financial choices.

Taught through Top Achievers Foundation, Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Unions’ established financial literacy program helps students set short-term and long-term financial goals as well as avoid falling prey to costly financial mistakes and scams.
